Fourth at Folly

It's official. I absolutely love living in a beach town! So for the Fourth of July, we spent the day at our new favorite spot on Folly Beach.

Only worry in the world is the tide gonna reach my chair (it didn't by the way, because John learned how to read a tide chart- smart boy!)

Love our little beach set up. Works great and is easy to transport.

We had a great afternoon napping, reading, eating a packed lunch and playing in the waves.

About 1 o'clock they did a patriotic flyover across the coast of the state- including Folly Beach.

For the evening part of our Fourth of July, we decided to hit up the Charleston Riverdogs game at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park — affectionately known as "The Joe." Go Riverdogs!

Nothing more American than baseball!

And hotdogs of course! These bad boys are from Dog World where you can choose from an array of options (including the Home Wrecker, also one featured on Man vs. Food) or build your own dog! Mine is the Dixie Dog with pimento cheese (left) and John opted for the Old Smokey with bacon and BBQ sauce. They were awesome!

Then of course we had to have some of John's favorite — boiled peanuts!

It's a southern classic!

Happy Birthday America!

The Riverdogs were playing so badly, they asked me to help out the last few innings. Of course, I obliged.

And the night ended how all Fourth of July's should — with a bang!
